Lm10 · Central Bank 2nd series
1973 · Central Bank of Malta
A bilingual issue: liri on the front, pounds on the back. The change followed decimalisation. Lira and pound wording refer to the same Maltese unit on opposite sides, rather than two currencies with a floating conversion between them. This family retained three note denominations after the former ten-shilling value moved to a fifty-cent coin.
