Victoria · bronze one-third farthing
Pictured specimen dated 1885 · British Crown
The portrait of Victoria appears on the front of this bronze coin. The reverse spells out ONE THIRD FARTHING under a crown, within a wreath, with the date below the value. This differs from the seated Britannia design of the earlier first pattern. The denomination was made for use in Malta within the British monetary system. The photograph documents a 1885 specimen; identical-date duplicates are not added as separate catalogue types.
