25 cents · Ten years of decimalisation · 1982
1982 · Central Bank of Malta
A 25 cents collector design dated 1982 for ten years of Maltese decimal coinage. One face depicts republic emblem; the other combines the value with a special decimalisation anniversary legend. That legend distinguishes this type from the ordinary circulation design, even when the motif is familiar.

Measurements are secondary catalogue values, not an issuer manufacturing specification. The mint is recorded as Franklin Mint without choosing between conflicting location labels. Final production totals are not asserted. Neither checked main catalogue supplies a weight. That field stays unknown; it is not borrowed from the 1975 circulation coin. The octagonal shape follows Numista rather than Foronum’s generic round label.
These nine anniversary denominations form a collector series. Proof and uncirculated finishes are presentations of the same design, not extra base types. Their specifications are checked against secondary catalogues; no original issuer table was located.
Documented presentations
These presentations belong to the same catalogue type. Published quantities apply to each listed presentation and are not added into a total mintage.
