al-Ḥākim · quarter dinar
AH395 (1004–1005) · Fatimid Caliphate
Brown identifies a National Museum gold quarter dinar of al-Ḥākim, dated AH395, corresponding to Pisani no.3. The mint was unread or uncertain. The Hijri date is retained because the article gives conflicting Common Era conversions.

The catalogue distinguishes a documented Maltese provenance from the mere presence of a coin in a Maltese collection. This issue is included for its published local evidence; its mint must be read separately from the place where it was found.
Dating and classification
AH395 corresponds to1004–1005. Brown’s Table 1 gives1005, while her text gives1007/8. The Ashmolean date confirms the conversion; its separate Miṣr dinar does not establish the mint, design or measurements of Malta’s quarter dinar.
